About Us

History

Since our humble beginnings in early June of 1998, the Harlingen Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has become a beneficial and recognized player in the business community. Strong leadership and public relations have generated a broad support base from which to grow. Looking back two years we have been successful in obtaining a training grant that has benefited 360 employees, and partnered to secure a new office location. We have hosted numerous Hispanic leaders such as Texas Commissioner of Health Dr. Eduardo Sanchez, as well as Dr. Francisco Cigarroa, President of the UT Health Science Center. We have continued our seminars and workshops that offer beneficial insight and training to our community's small business owners and entrepreneurs.

The Harlingen Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is associated with various large organizations. Visit our Associated Links page for a complete listing of our Corporate Partners/Sponsors and associated links.
